The Extinction

"The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program. And if we become extinct because we don't have a space program, it'll serve us right!"

Wellborn For Turiya | Maradilla Syachridar

“Turiya” bercerita tentang sebuah penggalan perjalanan hidup, sebuah fase menyenangkan sekaligus menyedihkan yang harus dilewati oleh Millo, Dwayne, dan King bersama-sama. Membaca kisah ini, pada akhirnya akan menghadapkan kita pada sebuah pertanyaan sederhana, “Pernahkah kita mengalami kebahagiaan semu?”

An explanation of why I believe the move into space to be a human imperative.

It seems to me obvious in too many ways to need listing that we cannot much longer depend upon our planet's relatively fragile ecosystem to handle the realities of the human tomorrow. Unless we turn human growth and energy toward the challenges and promises of space, our only other choice may be the awful risk, currently demonstrable, of stumbling into a cycle of fratricide and regression which could end all chances of our evolving further or of even surviving.

THE PORTAL | #2 ARTWORK

I don't think the human race will survive the next thousand years,
unless we spread into space.
There are too many accidents that can befall life on a single planet.
But I'm an optimist. We will reach out to the stars.

BEAUTY KILLS | #1 ART WORK

The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious.
It is the source of all true art and all science.
He to whom this emotion is a stranger,
who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe,
is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.
